Car Insurance Mazda (Car Insurance). is it dangerous to get on a plane if i have blood pressure?is it dangerous to get on a plane if i have blood pressure? okay so! i have high blood pressure and i'm going on an 8 hour plane ride. is it dangerous because of the altitude or whatever? if so, what can happen? i'm terrified. please help! thank you! It is generally safe for you to fly if you have high blood pressure AND IT IS WELL CONTROLLED However, if your blood pressure is unstable or very high then you should talk to your doctor before you make any travel plans. people who have uncontrolled high blood pressure or heart failure are more vulnerable to a buildup of fluid in the lungs, called pulmonary edema. Airplane cabins are pressurized to make it possible to breathe normally even at very high altitudes, but planes aren’t pressurized to the equivalent of sea-level altitudes It makes good sense to see your doctor before you travel and have your blood pressure checked, even if it is well controlled. No, it is nowhere near dangerous lol. Flying would essentially have the same effect on your body as if you were on the ground because the plane's cabin is pressurized. The cabin's altitude in cruise is about the same as most ski area bases, around 8,000ft. The cabin altitude is changed slowly and shouldn't be a problem for you or anyone else, unless you use supplemental oxygen all the time. If so, you will need to check with your airline to make arrangements for checking your oxygen generator or tank. The airline will supply you with supplemental oxygen for your flight. How high is your blood pressure? Is it being controlled with medication? If you have high blood pressure that is being controlled with medication, then you actually have normal blood pressure. In any event, there is no connection between the physiological effects of being in a pressurized plane and having high blood pressure. Auto parts : Air Deflector Acura 1995 . Mazda . can a broken sway bar lead to a broken axle? can a broken sway bar lead to a broken axle? About a week ago, the CV boot in my 99 grand prix tore while I was driving up a hill and it made a loud, god awful clunking noise when I put it in drive, park, and reverse. I was able to make it to my house by coasting backwards down the hill and then pushing it the rest of the way. Anywho, my dad automatically assumed it was the transmission. I had just bought new tires for it and we were taking them off to put on a spare car we have in the back yard when my brother noticed the sway bar was broken, right near the end of it, and the cv boot was torn. He replaced my axle but didn't bother with the sway bar, saying it has been broken for a while and it wasn't really a big deal, even though it looks like it's just swingin around in there. Well, after the new axle was put on, it ran fine. For about 2 days. The night after it was put on, I was coming home and heard a loud pop, just one time, when turning to the right. It still ran fine after the pop and I told my dad as soon as I got home. He just shook it off. But the day after that when I was driving to work, I heard the loud pop again but this time the car wouldn't move. It's at the shop now, but he can't look at it until next week. I assumed it was the axle but seeing as it was only 2 days old, I'm second guessing myself. So my question is, can my broken sway bar be tearing into the CV boot? Or does it sound like a transmission problem? car insurance. Auto parts : Glove Box Latch Scion 1999. Grab Handle Smart 2000. Grille Insert Sterling 2001. Heated Blanket Subaru 2002. Mazda . How to Charge a Marine Battery From a CarA marine battery works much like a car battery and, depending on the size of the craft, can easily be charged by a car. Caution must be exercised: check to make sure the marine battery is 12 volts, which is the size of a car's battery. A car cannot safely charge a larger battery, like a 16 volt. A large battery would drain it. However, a car can easily charge a smaller battery, such as an 8 volt. Difficulty:Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Jumper cables Step by Step : 1 Make sure the marine battery is 12 volts or smaller. 2 Connect the jumper cables to the positive and negative terminals on the marine battery. Red goes with positive and negative goes with black. 3 Turn on the car and connect the negative jumper cable to the negative terminal on the car battery. Connect the positive jumper cable to the positive power terminal on the car's battery. Let the car run for 5 to 10 minutes. This should be enough time to charge the marine battery. 4 Disconnect the jumper cables. Disconnect the positive cable first. 5 Start the marine vehicle. It should start without a problem.
Mazda . How to Use an Outboard to Charge a Trolling BatteryA battery combiner for boats connects the outboard starting battery and the trolling battery into a circular pattern. When the outboard engine is running, it charges the trolling motor battery. When you turn the outboard engine off, the battery combiner separates the trolling battery from the outboard battery so it does not discharge the trolling battery. You can then use the trolling motor and its battery without discharging the starting battery when you are ready to return to shore. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Battery combiner Battery cable with ring ends Step by Step : 1 Place the battery combiner close to the starting battery of the boat. 2 Turn the positive battery wing nut counterclockwise on the starting and trolling batteries to loosen them. Pull the wing nuts straight off. 3 Place one red lead from the battery combiner on each positive battery terminal. Screw the wing nut on each positive terminal in a clockwise direction. 4 Turn the wing nuts on each negative battery terminal counterclockwise to loosen them and pull them straight off. Pull the negative battery cables off each battery. Place each end of a new battery cable on each negative terminal. 5 Place the black lead on the battery combiner on the negative terminal of the starting battery. Screw the wing nuts back on the negative terminal of each battery in a clockwise direction. Tips & Warnings Measure the distance from the starting battery to the trolling motor battery to obtain a new battery lead that is long enough to span the distance. *a combination wrench." Figure 2-4: Combination wrenches, with one open end and one boxed end, are your best bet. Offset Wrenches Some combination wrenches are sort of S-shaped. Called offset wrenches, these are good for working in hard-to-reach spots. You may want to add a couple to your tool kit. The most useful offset wrench is the distributor wrench, shown in Figure 2-5, which you use to adjust your car's timing. (You need this tool only if your car has a non-electronic ignition system.) Be sure to get one to fit the distributor hold-down clamp on your vehicle. Part I: Getting Started. Figure 2-5: An offset distributor wrench is probably the most useful offset wrench. 156

Alien (or hex) ufrenches Some of the screws or fastenings on your vehicle may have odd-shaped holes in the centers of their heads that require special Allen wrenches — L-shaped rods that fit into the holes (see Figure 2-7). If the center hole is hexagonal, the wrench you need is sometimes called a hex wrench. You can buy a set of assorted-sized Allen wrenches for under $15. Part I: Getting Started. Figure 2-7: Allen wrenches. Socket Frenches A good set of socket wrenches, shown in Figure 2-8, can really make the difference between enjoying your work and killing yourself over it. Socket wrenches come in sets for a wide variety of prices, depending on quality and how many there are in the set. Sets can include either a mix of SAE and metric sockets, all SAE, or all metric pieces. Unless you've decided to become a mechanic, you can buy an inexpensive set of basic socket wrenches suitable for your vehicle for less than $25. Figure 2-8: A socket wrench set. Mazda . Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Regular Cab & Chassis. * .Chapter 2: The Way to Your Car's Heart Is through Your Toolbox 2 7 Your set of socket wrenches should contain the following basic items: A variety of K-inch or %-inch drive heads or sockets: The #-inch, %-inch, and %-inch sockets are the ones you'll use the most, unless you need a metric set. The metric sizes most often used are 10,11,12,13, and 14 mm. The word drive refers to the size of the square hole in each socket where it attaches to the ratchet handle. It's easy to remember that the smaller the drive, the smaller the job you use it for. A X-inch drive is for tiny areas; %-inch drive is for the next range of sizes, typically up to SAE % or 18 mm metric; &-inch drive is for up to SAE IK, or up to 25 mm; and other drives up to 2 inches are for really big jobs (you won't need one of these monsters). You can use adapters to convert sockets of one drive to fit handles of another drive. A spark plug socket: This is the large socket with a soft lining to hold the spark plug securely without damaging its soft jacket when you remove and insert it, or when you drop it on the floor by mistake. Spark plugs come in two sizes, so make sure to get the size that fits the spark plugs in your car. Your owner's manual may note the spark plug size. At least one ratchet handle, to which you can fit any of the sockets: Most sets have two or three handles with at least one adapter. You may want to add additional adapters to extend the handle to different sizes and adapt it to different drives. Figure 2-9 shows the wide variety of sockets, handles, and adapters available.
